My Wife's New Sheath
About a year ago Mike made a special knife that my wife just had a fit over, so he gave it to her. Well (of course) it just would not do that her special knife did not have a special sheath. You might know that an artist would have to have a knife sheath unlike anything that I had ever done before. She wanted a sheath that would be rustic but yet not take away from the design of the knife. I started out with a very soft piece of 5-6oz leather and folded it over the blade to give it the right contour, then I used a piece of 4oz leather to wrap the top.I used sinue to sew it together and deerlace to wrap the edge. The tiedown is latigo lace with an antler tip and bone pipe as a slide. Take a look and see what you think, By the way, she really likes it and that is all that really matters to me !!!
